I’m Drew and I am a photography enthusiast. Photography is not my preferred career, but I just enjoy it for fun. My field of study is Electrical Engineering Technology and I feel like my engineering mind helps me make very nice images because I understand the processes involved in photography and I know how to implement them. I like working with a variety of subjects and mediums like film and aerial photography. I am also beginning to branch into videography.

My aerial photography is captured with my DJI Mavic Mini drone. I have found this little drone to be very capable for something of its size and retail price. It has been a very useful tool in my photography kit and a stepping stone into the world of drones. I enjoyed this world so much that I took the FAA exam to be a fully certified commercial pilot and I hope to upgrade my equipment in the near future.

My film photography is primarily captured on my Minolta 7000 35mm camera and my Mamiya RZ67 medium format camera. I develop all my black & white film myself and I send my color film to the Darkroom to be developed. The picture on the right was taken inside the Wisconsin capitol building with my RZ67 using Kodak Tri-X 400 film that I exposed at 1600 ISO and developed with Ilford DDX.

My digital work is made using my Canon SL2 camera and my iPhone 11 Pro Max when my Canon is unavailable to use. With my digital camera, I like to use different techniques like long exposures. The picture to the left was taken at Gooseberry Falls in Minnesota. I used a neutral density filter and a 4/5th second shutter speed.
